Both these models are on promo on the Dyson Canada website, you get a free soft roller head with purchase.

We have:

  • 3 cats
  • 3 kids under 10
  • 2,800 square feet (not including basement which is all carpet) total
  • Flooring is mostly hardwood and slate tile on main floor (1,600 square feet)
  • Medium pile carpet upstairs (1,200 upstairs)
  • I do a deep clean (vacuum all floors) once every week or two
  • I vacuum the main floor every few days, including some surfaces (slate tile and hardwood kitchen) every day.

The customer service rep recommended the v11, I want to make sure she’s not just up selling me. Is the v11 worth the extra money?

Any complaints about the v11? (Durability, results e

Can I ask for job specifics (pay, hours, benefits, staffing) before applying for a job? I don’t want to apply if the job package isn’t as good as what I have now as I’m concerned that applying might compromise my current job (retail pharmacy, small town). I don’t want to risk it if it’s not worth it.

This isn’t specifically a working mom thing, but I want to take a moment to bring up the pressure that I feel as a mom to make things “cozy” at home and to make sure everyone feels like they’re taken care of. By cozy I don’t mean Pinterest decorating, I mean more the feeling of security and being “cherished” (which doesn’t have anything to do with decor). I feel like it falls on me to make sure that the house is clean enough that the clutter etc doesn’t cause everyone stress (as in, no one can find anything). I also feel like it’s my job to make sure that there are nice meals and snacks, basically (like I said earlier), make sure that everyone feels taken care of. I don’t know if anyone else

Hi, I’m looking for recommendations for a robot vac that would work well with SLATE tile, which is uneven (unlike traditional tile), as well as hardwood and low pile carpet. I have three cats so it must be good at grabbing hair and going along baseboards (since that’s where the fur always hides...). I don’t mind having to run it every day and I have a very large house with two floors but I’m not opposed to running it in a rotation of one or two high traffic rooms per day 5 days a week while I’m at work. I don’t care if I have to empty it every day as long as it does a good job picking things up.

I’d like to pay under $500 Canadian and purchase from Amazon. I’ve been burnt before when purch

How do you work through boredom with your job? I’m approaching my two year anniversary at my current place of work and I’m bored with my job. Seems like I get bored at any job after two years, as I’ve never worked longer than that in any one place. I’d like to be happy in my current job, any tips on powering through? There’s no opportunity for advancement where I work (small company, there’s an owner/manager and the rest of us).

I get home from work at 6:00 with decent energy, and by 8:00 I’m bagged. Is that normal? I’m up at about 6:00-6:30 in the morning to work out. I’m so sick of being tired at night! Makes me feel like I have no free time.

I’m a pharmacist. I currently have a full time permanent job in a retail pharmacy. I like my work and my coworkers are nice. Health benefits are good (which is significant as I’m on about $10,000 of meds a year) but there’s no pension. Hours are 9-6. Pay is comparable to other pharmacist positions. Foot traffic is very slow lately due to COVID and even before this mess happened, business was slow to the point that my boss told me they were watching the bank balance weekly to make sure they had enough money there for our pay checks and to pay our drug supplier. Put it this way - there’s a good chance this place goes out of business/my hours get cut before I retire (but might not be likely in

My family (kids, partner) are at home socially isolating. They literally have not had contact with anyone other than me for almost two weeks. I am a pharmacist in the community and I am still working full time in the pharmacy.

Am I supposed to sequester myself from them when I get home, since there is possibility that I have been exposed to the virus while at work?

Are community pharmacists wearing masks at this point? I wore one last week (only when interacting with patients) after talking to a customer who admitted he was supposed to be quarantined due to travel, but I wonder if I’m going over the top. My pharmacy association (Manitoba, Canada) is not currently recommending masks in the community...I want to be prudent without being alarmist. Yes I’m already washing my hands before and after dealing with patients. Help!
