Team 'Ratata Spanish Squad' (GM Pepe Cuenca and IM David Martinez) won the final against team 'Oh Yes My Queen' (IM Eric Rosen and WGM Nemo Zhou)
Anyone else watch this? Curious to see what people thought of the format. To me it was great to watch - hearing the teams communicate with each other as the game went along was really interesting to get an insight into what goes through the head of the players as they consider the positions.
So I've got Jury Duty at Sheffield Crown court but never worked in the city so not sure what's around.
Anyone got any recommendations for anything tasty and cheap (you get naff all meal allowance) nearby so I'm not just going a Tesco meal deal every day?
The question has to be asked - Does Sam Mitchell have to go? Absolutely woeful performance by the bird team, worst tanking I've ever seen
Anyone who's passing Matilda Street carpark able to do me a favour and take a photo for me of the parking charges there for a parking fine appeal? Got a fine for parking there in the evening after their dodgy machine sold me a 3hr ticket for £3.60 even though it's a flat £3 evening charge from 4pm to 9am the next day
I'm printing this Christmas decoration: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:236330
I printed one reindeer and it looked good but then I printed the sleigh. I watched the first layer print off ok and then went to bed and then in the morning woke up to this:
Not sure how easy it is to see but basically it has printed a few layers and then the whole print seemed to shift over a couple of centimetres and then it finished the remaining 95% of the print fine.
I wasn't sure if it was maybe something with the gcode so I went back and started another Reindeer from the same stl as the first one that worked fine. This did the same thing as the sleigh so must be the printer.
Me and my partner and looking at buying a house and have looking at grenoside, Ecclesfield, chapel town etc
We are both new(ish) to Sheffield though and lived around endcliffe and kelham before so just wondering what Ecclesfield is like?
It's quite close to parsons cross which has a bit of a reputation so just a bit wary.
Anyone familiar with it and can guide us either way?
As everyone knows football was so much better in the good old days when plenty of good old goals were kicked. Plugger and Dunstall roamed the forward 50 like lone gods kicking goals as they pleased.
Nowadays though that has all stopped and goal numbers are falling, the spectacle just isn't there and most importantly advertising time is down.
So how do we fix this? The problem is obviously the coaches and the defenders coming up with tactics and clever strategies which has stopped the guys grabbing the ball and banging it long, so the next guy can grab it and bang it long and the full forward can stroll out of the goalsquare for a quick mark and goal.
So to right past wrongs and bring
I've been trying to make myself a jigsaw with thanks to u/forester22running who made a cool grand canyon puzzle (see here: https://www.reddit.com/r/3Dprinting/comments/hili6s/after_lots_of_time_designing_testing_and_a_little/)
However when I go to print a test piece (or a group of them) when I import the .3mf file into Cura it won't slice because it says the build volume is too big. As seen in my screenshot below it is making the piece way bigger then it is:

I thought maybe because the Microsoft Builder piece was way away from 0,0 but moving it didn't help. I tried saving as a .stl instead of .3mf and i'm printing it now but it does lose options in separat
So I'm working from home on a chair that's usually used for a kitchen table and it's starting to kill me. Anyone know what's my best bet for a cheapish but decent chair?
So I’ve moved into one of those apartments near the riverside which is nice but the bin stores here only has household waste and then recycling bins for paper and then glass/cans. If available the main one I would use would be plastic but being none, does anyone know any shops or anything nearby with a plastic skip?
