It’s been a few years and I’m trying to remember the title of a book describing a man who was living a quiet life in a small town during late stage societal collapse. It is a slow collapse and everything is now locally sourced (because you either walk or ride a bike). Cars are few and far between because they are so expensive to maintain. He may be a carpenter or handyman. They family who owns the town dump is now mining it for things they can sell.

The cover may have had a person walking down a double track gravel lane.

I carry my Kindle Voyage without a cover and want to stick with the convince of being able to pull it out of a pocket, read, and then put it away all without needing to faff about with opening or closing a cover. I would, however, like to add a thin leather panel to the back of the device to improve the experience of holding the Kindle. I have seen some adhesive style covers for MacBooks and iPads, but none for a Kindle. Is anyone aware of something like this?

I understand using incognito mode when doing niche research on Amazon, but did any of you create entirely separate Amazon accounts to keep your normal house hold purchasing separate from your Amazon publishing (and erotica purchasing)?

For those who may be looking to incorporate the Boosted Rev as part of their commute, I thought I would post my first experience. I live in the NJ suburbs and commute into downtown NYC. My plan was to use use the scooter to get from my house to the train station (1.1 miles), ride the train into Penn Station, and then use the scooter to ride to the West side bike path which I would then take down to TRIBECA (3.2 miles). I hope this is useful for those in a similar situation.

My two main concerns were 1) fitting it on a crowded train, and 2) getting the heavy ass scooter off the train and out of Penn Station. Below is what it looks like folded up and "under" the bench seating:

For the first of the year we decided to do a tasting. I never considered myself a fan of Irish whiskys, but the Redbreast was really good. Significantly less "complicated" than the scotches, but it was clean and bright in a very pleasant way.
