I work in a university setting and recently moved from a smaller department to a larger one.

My coworkers from the smaller department want to throw me a wedding shower, and asked for a list of who I want to invite. This has put me in between a rock and a hard place, because I’ve invited the entire small department (4 people) to my wedding and some of my new department (only the people I work closest to - about 5 people).

There are other colleagues across other departments who I would like to see at the shower, but I did not invite them to the wedding.

Is it rude for me/my coworkers to invite those people to my shower? Should I leave them off the list?

TIA!!

Hi friends! I’ve been on Dr. Aviv’s acid watcher diet for about two weeks now, and I’m on PPI’s for the time being. I just got his book today but am confused about some of the rules!

  1. can I have oat milk? The book only mentions almond, soy, and rice, but I LOVE oat milk. I know oat milk’s PH is around 6-7 too, so I Think it would be fine? Just want to check and make sure though.
  2. can I have herbal teas (caffeine free)? I have a ginger tea that I like a lot, and I also really like teecino. Both are low acid and limited ingredients, but the book is a little confusing because it says to cut out tea. Does that mean all tea or just caffeinated or black teas?

Currently working on a masters degree in public administration and taking a budgeting and finance class. Unfortunately there’s quite a bit of math involved, but thankfully most of the people in this degree are bad at math and the teacher is extremely willing to help out.

I am very much a words person. I love writing, grammar, English, and all things language. Writing/reading have always been easy for me, but math is like trying to read an alien language.

Today while doing an assignment I realized that replacing the letters in a mathematical formula with the words that they represent makes the formulas SO much easier to understand!! Instead of little meaningless/confusing letters, I’ve be

I have a 2006 Limited 5.7 Hemi Commander. I’m coming up on 197,000 miles this week. Other than replacing the radiator and the speakers, and the normal electrical issues that come with commanders, my Goliath has had very few issues.

My question is how much longer can I realistically expect this car to last? I only really use it for daily driving, the farthest I’ll take it in one trip is 70 miles, to my parents house. It’s had some issues tripping over itself when it changes gears, but that has been going on for months and hasn’t gotten worse. My dad (who has had 8 jeeps) seems to think it’s not a big deal.

Do Commanders generally last more than 200,000 miles? I’ve had a Grand Cherokee reac

r/COVID19positive•

I tested positive for Covid on July 5th of this year. It was horrible. I had all the symptoms, minus brain fog and loss of taste. I am triple vaxed (although my booster was last November.)

I was able to go back to work 6 days later and felt almost back to normal about a week or two after testing positive. However, my cough is STILL here. I have year round “seasonal” allergies, it’s genetic, and take montelukast (singulair) and Claritin for it.

I finally went to a doctor for the cough yesterday and am trying a steroid shot, antibiotic shot, z-pack, and some strong antihistamines. I’ve also been taking benzonatate, guaifenesin, sudafed, And robitussin as needed. I’m drinking zinc/vitamin c

Hey all. I started Wellbutrin for adhd about two weeks ago. Since I started I have had AWFUL dry mouth and post nasal drip. I have been taking maximum strength mucinex, but it just constantly feels like I have a big lump of something caught in my throat, and I’m thirsty all the time. It’s like the maximum amount of mucinex isn’t even working. I don’t know what else to do. Any suggestions??

I’m new to gaming and am looking for suggestions. Unfortunately there’s a lot I can’t play because I get motion sick VERY easily. I can’t do any first person games or games with a lot of movement, which sucks because it really limits what I CAN play.

I tried stardew valley today and really like it. I’ve also played Civ and enjoy it a lot. I like the sims, animal crossing, etc. I’ve played undertale but wasn’t that into it.

Any suggestions for easy, top-down games to try, preferably with minimal combat?

TIA

TW- biphobia

Hi friends. I am struggling with some internalized biphobia and pretty rigid thinking, and need an understanding place to vent/ask for advice. TLDR : I came out as bi about four years ago and am partially out as non-binary (genderflux, please use they/them when referring to me). I have a friend who realized they were bi some time last year. We are both in our mid-20s, and both autistic. Friend talks about bi culture memes to the point where it seems like they’re only saying they are bi because of the memes.

Some time last year, a friend of mine realized they were bisexual. They find the “bi culture” memes to be funny and relatable, but to the point where I feel like the meme
