My husband and I are looking for a new mattress, king size. We are side sleepers and really liked the feel of Tempur, but we can't find it within ourselves to shell out upwards of 100K for a mattress. Does anyone have any recommendations for a mattress that is similar? I know there is no real "dupe" for a Tempur, but maybe there's a mattress out there that's close enough.

Basic info is I'm 34F, outside the US, starting Ozempic for weight loss + PCOS management (prescription was given just today)

My doc said 1.0 mg but when I went to the pharmacy they only had 0.5 mg pens, so they gave me two of those. Apparently it's hard to find the 1.0 mg pens around here. Does that mean I like... inject twice a week? Twice at once? Wwyd? Def gonna ask my doc for what to do specifically, but want to get advice from other users too. Has anyone else had to deal with this?

My cup made it to the washing machine sometime ago and no matter what I do I can’t get the detergent smell out so I’m kinda scared to use it again. I’ve been browsing for a replacement, and I’m considering trying out the Ziggy cup/disc. I’m interested because the copper IUD has made my periods heavy and apparently they can hold more. But I’m not too sure about the safety of discs with IUDs. I’ve read so many horror stories about cups and IUDs, and while I haven’t had any problems with my cup I’ve been super paranoid. I figured there’s no suction involved with discs so they might be lower risk, but that’s just my gut feel. If they turn out to be lower risk with IUDs than cups, then I might ju

For those that have an IUD:

  1. How long until you used your cup again? I know it’s not recommended to use it right after insertion but idk when it’ll be safe to do so again.

  2. What’s your removal technique? Pre-IUD I did this thing where I’d bear down and sort of “birth” my cup before breaking the seal. I know you’re supposed to break the seal first when you have an IUD but I’ve never been able to break the seal without bringing my cup way down first. I’m wondering if this is ok to do—I mean, IUDs don’t get expelled when you poop...right???

I just really want to be able to use my cup again. I’m stuck with pads for now and I hate them.

So sometime ago I posted here asking about my options. I’m very sensitive to hormones and I hate condoms (I actually think I might have a mild latex allergy??? I get weird burning after sex with a condom.) I initially didn’t want to go for the IUD, but after lurking for a while on this sub I saw a thread where someone commented that IUD insertion after having a baby was actually uneventful. I asked my due date group and they pretty much confirmed that it’s a piece of cake compared to getting one pre-pregnancy. I consulted with my OBGYN who said that, yes, it would probably hurt less because I’ve had a baby, and that we’d wait for my next period to put it in so that my cervix would be even mo

I was a longtime lurker of JNMIL and I even posted once (my MIL is a pain in the ass sometimes but isn’t dangerous or anything). Then I focused on my due date subreddit while I was pregnant so I wasn’t really paying attention to that sub. When I went to check it again, the vibe seemed... different? And now I found this sub and there seems to have been drama that I missed. I am out of the loop. What happened?

I used a MeLuna soft in small and medium before getting pregnant. By February of next year it’ll be time to replace my cups, and while I haven’t gotten a postpartum period yet (I actually haven’t gotten my period since February of 2018, which is pretty wild lol) I’m looking to get a new cup. I just don’t know what kind of cup I should be looking to get now that my body has changed quite a bit. Any advice from anyone who’s been in the same boat? I’m thinking of getting something in silicone this time, since I’d like for the cup to spring open better (my MeLunas required a lot of fiddling down there, and I just don’t have the time or patience for that anymore lol). Probably still on the softer

What are my options?

Mistake or Risk?

I had a baby last November (so I’m 10 months postpartum), and my husband and I are one and done. I’m only 28 and I live in a religious country, so no one is going to give me a ligation. My husband is scared of getting a vasectomy and I respect that so I’m not going to push it.

We use condoms now, and I’m not really into them. Of course if I have no other choice, I’ll stick with them, they just don’t really feel great unless I use half a tube of lube (water-based, of course). So I’m looking into other methods. A few things to consider:

  1. I’m not interested in getting an IUD. They’re expensive here and after having several cervical checks throughout the late stage of my pregnancy and during

and was told by her doctor to stop carrying her 17 month old because he’s heavy and she’s high risk. The poor kid keeps reaching for his mommy but she can’t carry him anymore and it breaks my heart every time. He cries, she cries, the husband looks on helplessly. This, this is precisely why I’m one and done. I don’t want my kid to have to share me with another kid. Doesn’t mean she won’t ever learn to share her things, I just want to be that constant that’s always hers, you know?

I’ll be 3 wpp tomorrow.

My milk took forever to come in (day 3 or 4 I think?) so we had to supplement with formula for a while. When my milk came in I was able to give only breastmilk and switched between direct nursing and bottle feeding with zero issues. LO produced the right number of soiled diapers a day and seemed content.

Disaster struck on day 10. I woke up from a one hour nap unusually engorged (it had only been an hour since I nursed!), with lumps all over my right breast, a high fever, chills, and flu-like symptoms. LC confirmed it was mastitis, but because by the next day I was feeling a bit better I wasn’t prescribed antibiotics. However, when I’d nurse LO she was never conten

I’m due next month, FTM. Posted before about newborn sized nappies and a bunch of other cleaning questions, and I bought a bunch of stuff based on the answers I got here. What I’m missing, though, is a wet bag or diaper pail. What do you guys prefer? I know ventilation actually makes all the difference when it comes to managing the stink, so in your experience, what’s the best buy?

Also, this is my stash so far. I plan on doing laundry every 1-2 days. What do I need to add? I’m one and done so I’m trying not to buy too many because I won’t be able to hand them down.

FTM here, and I had stupid cycles pre-pregnancy so we relied on a dating scan rather than my LMP. I read somewhere that the whole “baby can come two weeks earlier or two weeks later” line that people keep saying is usually the result of bad math with the LMP, and that with dating scans it’s a lot more accurate. So for those who relied on the ultrasound rather than their LMP—is this really a thing? Did baby come very close to, if not exactly on, your EDD?

Edit to add: I’m at 31+2 and not super obsessing about my due date, btw. I’m just really curious/fascinated by the numbers and the technology, and whether or not there’s an actual accurate way to do “pregnancy math,” if that makes sense. I

Hi, I’m a FTM due in November, and I’m (stubbornly) pursuing cloth diapering. I really want to set myself up for success here, and I’m turning to you all because IRL discussions turn into weird debates and I’m not having any of that.

Anyway, just a few concerns:

  1. More or less how many newborn-sized diapers will I need? Part of why I want to cloth diaper is the economic factor and a diaper that’ll last 3 months at most doesn’t seem as practical as the OS ones. But of course I want the best fit so I’m looking at newborn ones. I just don’t know how many I really should be getting, given that they won’t be used for as long. Also important to note is DH and I are pretty much one and done, so
