Medication Frustration

Biologics/JAKis

Even when we do everything right, sometimes the system just screws us over.

I'm in the US. My insurance requires me to use a specialty pharmacy through the hospital system my husband works for and also requires all maintenance medication to be mailed to us. Its a good system... when it works. This week they have failed me hard-core.

I scheduled my hyrimoz prescription to be filled on Monday. I was out of town the week before and I take my injections on Wednesdays. If they actually filled it Monday I would have had it in plenty of time. They finally filled it Thursday and sent it to FedEx that same day. I was supposed to get the package today. Guess what? No package. FedEx tracking tells m

I officially have my diagnosis of RA as well as fibromyalgia as of yesterday. I am starting on methotrexate so my doc wanted me to get the shingles and pneumonia vaccines. I am wondering if anyone has any tricks to help with the side effects of those? My arm feels like it was hit with a baseball it is so sore! I can hardly move it. I've tried ice but that hasn't helped. Do I just have to wait it out? How long did the side effects last for you? Thanks.

Today marks 5 years since I lost my dad. It hurts more than last year. Something about 5 feels like a major anniversary. I get through the majority of my days happy to think of him but it's all too much today.

What makes it worse is that my husband hasn't said anything. He has just complained about work. I am obviously not ok, but he hasn't seemed to notice to even ask how I am. I'm even wearing one of my dad's t-shirts and his memorial necklace which I only do on the anniversary.

It just sucks.

Not 20 min locked in my room while I can still hear the kids screaming.

Not a trip to the grocery store just me (that's chores not a break, the genius suggestion from my mom).

Not even a few hours with friends (though after covid, what friends?)

I need a good 3-4 days where I am responsible for no one. No cleaning, no cooking, no breaking up fights, and especially I need an uninterrupted night sleep.

I am so burnt out. I don't know what to do. I have no idea who I am anymore. I know my kids can sense something is up but I just don't have the strength to hide behind a smile anymore. We live 4 hours from family and I just don't get any breaks.

I am 32 years old and I am so tired of my body breaking. At 15 I was diagnosed with congenital PARS defect. I dealt with the pain for years doing multiple therapies and medications until at 24 I had a fusion of L5/S1. It worked great! I thought I would finay be able to live a normal life. Then after bouts of kidney stones and gall bladder attacks I had unexplained pain on the right side at the bottom set of ribs. I spent a couple years dealing with that until trigger point injections helped decrease it to mild twinges every so often.

Next was massive tailbone pain after a fall while pregnant. I did pelvic PT after the baby was born but I still can't sit on hard surfaces for long. At leas

I have been NC with my in-laws since March of 2019 and my husband has been NC since November of 2019. Lately my FIL has been texting and calling trying to get us to respond. A lot of "we have no idea what we did to deserve this" and "just please contact us because we love you." They are full of the Missing Missing Reasons.

Today my mom calls me and connects me with my grandma because my in-laws were on my grandma's porch ringing the doorbell, knocking, and calling her house phone. They most likely got the information from the phone book as my grandma has lived in the same house for roughly 40 years. My grandma ignored them and pretended she wasn't home. Both because she doesn't want to be

To start, we have been no contact with my husband's parents for about 9 months now. It has been very good for D(ear)H's mental health.

DH got a message from his Aunt today (his dad's sister) that told him his grandma is having a health crisis. It is not immediately the end but she is struggling. DH debated on responding at all and settled for a simple message saying that this sucks and he wishes he could see his grandma but it would be a shitty time to see his parents.

DH's aunt has sent quite a few messages now that are full on overtly guilt tripping him. Starting with now is the best time, everyone wants him in their lives, she wishes it won't be at grandma's funeral, and ending (at the

I have no idea how they found out but my MIL and FIL showed up to DD2's baptism this morning.

We saw their car when we parked so we had a bit of a warning. They were already seated in a pew when we arrived. We had pews reserved for us. We were in the front row and the in-laws were toward the back.

My mom did a great job of distracting DD1. She didn't even notice that they were there. My husband and I decided to try and do our best to just completely ignore them. Asking them to leave would have caused a scene and we figured that was what they wanted. I had my family try and block them from view whenever possible.

While we were taking pictures after mass, my FIL stood like a creep in the

I thought I was done posting. I have been no contact with my in-laws since March. D(ear)H has essentially been NC since July or August, a few weeks after DD2 was born.

We are planning DD2's baptism. We finally got confirmation on a date from our church. In that call the deacon also told us that they have had several calls and emails to the church office, the priest, and the deacon from my MIL and FIL trying to find out the date we have set for the baptism. Thank goodness the church has had family issues before so they have not told the in-laws anything.

DH is freaking out. He didn't think they would go behind our backs like this. (I had an inkling). He now thinks that they will show up at

DD2 is finally here! She was born a week ago. We still haven't told my in-laws. I don't ever want to tell them. I just don't want to deal with them at all.

Yesterday was the once year anniversary of my dad's death. It is also the day we came home from the hospital. DD2 had to be in the NICU under bili lights for a few days. It was a day full of sadness but at the same time we were so happy to go home.

I have also hit the hormone waterfall of emotions. Everything I am feeling is felt 10 times more extreme.

All I want is to be able to share the joy of my new daughter without worrying about how my in-laws will react. I want to be able to share on social media that she is here and she is s

My FIL texted DH today. I knew the ILs would be getting more and more desperate the closer it gets to July. I'm really sad because it comes so soon after setting an induction date for DD2 which is really exciting for our little family. His message reads:

"[DH], we have painfully endured the last few months trying to respect your boundaries. During our counseling session today our Counselor suggested we contact you and try to arrange a time to see you and [DD1]. We would be glad to come to [city] and get a hotel room so that you could come visit and allow us some time with you and [DD1]. We love you and hope you're open to getting together. Hope you're well, please resond."

I used to post over on that other subreddit. My MIL's nickname is St. Adelaide. Named as such for her woe is me, do no wrong attitude. Both mine and my husband's family is Catholic and St. Adelaide is the patron saint of in-laws and in-law problems so it seemed fitting. Things blew up with her around Christmas when she threw a tantrum that I wanted to spend my first Christmas after losing my dad alone.

Last we had heard from St. Adelaide was in March. We had asked her to give us some time to respond to her request to visit as D(ear)H was just getting over food poisoning. We then got a text not meant for us cursing that we need time then immediately a text asking for alone time with our DD(

My family has property on a lake. My dad and I were the only ones from my immediate family to regularly visit this property. This weekend is the first time I have visited since my dad passed last year.

I am constantly surrounded by reminders of my dad. It has been a strange experience. I have mostly held it together. However, last night we had a campfire. My dad lived for giant bonfires. We didn't make a huge one but I was still heavily reminded of all the work he would put into making the fires great.

While my husband was putting my daughter to bed, it was just me sitting there with my thoughts. I was really struggling with feeling his loss. Then out of the corner of my eye I saw a figu
