Novel Translation: How Dare You
Ep 21: The Empress Dowager fails to stab Xiahou Dan. He forces her to take some unknown poison and then reminds her that they are standing in her grave. The doors almost break open, but rescue has come!
Prince Duan is having a bad time because all his various plots failed
Xiahou Dan doesn't want anyone to know that he's injured, so they ask Xie Yonger for her young physician friend. Xie Yonger suggests giving a blood transfusion and then remembers she doesn't know her body's blood type (lol). Yu Wanuin shows off their awesome gun. The Empress Dowager is in bed, they have Eunuch An pretending to be the emperor watching her. Xiahou Dan wakes up and finds out Yu Wanuin has taken care of everything along with Yonger.
(I am still so in love with their jammies and down hair at bedtime)
Prince Duan is investigating what happened at the mausoleum. He "watches" the fight scenes happen around him, which was cool. He realizes that Yu Wanuin lied to him and suspects something more (the guns!). Prince Tu'er is annoyed that he's hiding in their tunnel and dressed like a eunuch.
Xiahou Dan is up and plotting with Prince Tu'er to have peace or murder the emperor of Yan to prevent civil war. Yu Wanuin asks how he knew about Shanyi since he wasn't here yet, he lies and says he investigated. Yu Wanuin says she's glad they are dating. Xiahou Dan mentally apologizes for not telling her the truth.
Ep 22: The officials suspect that the emperor is injured too. Yu Wanuin does Xiahou Dan's makeup so he'll look healthy for court. She's all worried about him. We are deprived of Sexy Wound Care. It turns out Xiahou Dan is much worse than he's pretending to be in front of Wanuin. but he goes anyway. In court, they twist the entire blame on the commander of the guards for the assassination attempt and bring in Prince Tu'er as an envoy. They sign a peace treaty.
Yu Wanuin is hanging with the consorts who are all flattering her. Xie Yonger sends them all out into the count yard. As the Empress Dowager is sick, everyone considers Wanuin the new boss, much to her dismay
The Empress Dowager is unable to speak or move and angry about it. Wanuin introduces a game to the consorts so they stop bothering her. She gets them to play... hackey-sack? It's called "shuttlecock kicking." (In the novel, she has them play ping-pong) Mr. Bei is angry at Xiahou Dan for endangering his life. He is planning to keep the Empress Dowager alive until he had get her ministers on his side. Xie Yonger tells him to get rid of a double agent. The doctor waits to walk Yonger back, which is cute:

Yu Wanuin regrets offering to help the emperor with all his memorials.
And that ends the episodes that I believe are based on the chapter "Calm After the Storm" but there are 10 episodes and one major villain still undefeated so we'll be back to drama soon I'm sure
