So what's the 'correct' way to name files in a sample pack? Is it better to use underscores instead of spaces? What about case sensitivity? I've seen all kinds of naming conventions in commercial sample packs so I guess it doesn't matter that much with modern OSes, but I'd rather get it right from the start.

What do you prefer? Do you also like having some kind of identifying name at the beginning of each file, like "KSHMR_Clap_Classic_05" for example?

Whether it's an effect or instrument, what is your "secret weapon"? I.e not your regular Fabfilter/OTT/Sausage Fattener but something you don't maybe see mentioned a lot. The more obscure, the better.

My list would probably be;

- kHs Disperser - Great for softening up transients/fattening up sounds while reducing the peak level.

- Toneboosters Ferox - Cheap and good sounding saturator that I use on everything.

- Toneboosters Equalizer 4 - Not only is it a solid, easy-to-use EQ but it can also work as a dynamic EQ. Cheap as rocks too. Toneboosters' plugins are criminally underrated imo.

- Anything Airwindows - He has soooo many plugins but they'

Is there a good reason why deleting in Studio One can't be focus dependant? So if I have the track selected and hit the delete key the track gets deleted and if I select an event the event gets deleted etc. Same with duplicating things. Is there a macro or a setting that I'm missing? Or will I just have to remember multiple shortcuts for the same task?

I have set my Snap/Grid settings to 1/128 with a minimum of 10 pixels. In the arrange view the snap works perfectly, no matter how much I zoom in/out everything only snaps to the visible grid lines. In the MIDI editor though the notes still snap to the invisible 1/128 grid lines, even if I'm zoomed out really far. Is there any way to fix that?

This is what it looks like when I add a note

And when zoomed in on the note you can see it's snapped to the grid

These are my Snap/Grid settings

I'm slowly migrating to Reaper from Ableton, but one annoyance I'm having is that I can't seem to glue items without it creating a new duplicate file in the project folder each time.

Is it possible to achieve something similar to Ableton where you can glue/consolidate multiple items to one clip for easy looping but without the bloat in the project folder?

Often when sounds only play in one ear (for example a Youtube video with audio in only the right channel or a mosquito buzzing really close to the ear) I get this somewhat painful tingling inside that ear, almost like if the nerves inside it are caught off guard by the volume balance difference or something. I only seem to feel this sensation in my right ear.

The razor at 3:05 in this video is definitely a trigger: https://youtu.be/IUDTlvagjJA?t=185

Does anyone else experience the same and what causes it?

What I mean is if I for example put Volumeshaper after a synth in Bitwig and set it to retrig on MIDI it works perfectly while in other DAW's such as Ableton or Studio One you have to do some routing with a separate MIDI track to get the same effect.

Does anyone have a technical explanation to this? I noticed it works as good in Reaper too so maybe it has something to do with plugin sandboxing? Idk, but nevertheless it's a nice feature to me at least.

I'm in the process of returning a faulty Push 2 and got the exchange today. Comparing them side by side I noticed that the pads on the new one feel really dry compared to the old one which has some wax residue on them. Are they supposed to be 'waxy' fresh out of the box or does it vary between units?

Also all the encoders feel kind of "dirty" when you turn them (like if some hypothetical dirt was stuck between the knobs and the housing) where as on the other one the encoders turn buttery smooth. Maybe I'm just being overly anal about this stuff but is there any reason of concern? Everything works like it should so I guess it's all just in my head but I'd be curious to hear your thoughts.

So I recently got a Push 2 and the upgrade price to Live Suite right now is €399 from the Live Intro that was included. I'm curious to know what the general discount prices have been in previous sales and if it's a no brainer at this price?

Buying a boxed version from a local store is the same price as the digital version. A printed manual would be nice but is it worth it? Will I still get access to an instant digital download or do I have to wait for it to get shipped first?

Sorry for all the questions but I just feel like I need some reassurance before diving in to the Ableton universe. Thanks!

Why can't you create good sounding pitch envelopes in Bitwig using the built in modulators? Modulating the pitch of a plugin with the ADSR modulator set to a really short decay sounds horrible, almost like the envelope is too slow to keep up.

Here's an audio example using Synthmaster. First half is Synthmasters own envelope on the pitch and second half is using Bitwigs ADSR modulator on the same pitch parameter. Bitwigs envelopes totally craps out whenever you use short decay times and that's slightly concerning; https://clyp.it/uhao4wbs
