I know this is jumping the gun a bit but I want to nip this in the bud right away. Change doesn't happen overnight and I have no idea what the development team has in store for us next major holiday. So I hope that there is some discussion before the holiday hits.

Let's have an event that focuses on something that encourages the kind of play we want to see in game. Players killing one another instead of random objects!

How it works:

A. Players that kill you can randomly become your Gift Recievers. If you kill these people back before they kill you again you get a piece of coal instead of a seed. They will be a different color on the map and have a different colored Dorito too, or somethin

If the whole point of getting rid of passive certs is to give incentive to players to get a membership, and not having those log-in certs would hurt clueless players' ability to be able to unlock anything (because they don't understand how the game works yet), set a soft top-up cap.

This means that players can log in and still get their certs, but after earning a set amount in their bank, say 200 or whatever, the log-in freebies stop unless they spend their certs to be below that amount, or get a membership.

It would allow them to get most of the basic stuff still, but not just passively log in to get all the higher-end stuff that would require either dedicated play, or a membership.

Is anyone planning to do anything like that zombie-vs thing we had one year for Halloween I think?

For those who are newer, it was a horde of knife wielding VS, where if they killed you with a knife, you became one of them as a "zombie", and we all tried to see who would hold out.

One of the thing we are seriously missing among all the possible roles of our vehicles is the fact that none of them are good enough to be mobile cover. You'd have to be insane to put your tank out of cover just to help some infantry get across an open field because it would be instantly focus fired upon and become a giant bomb of killer debris.

I see lots of posts about all kinds of tanks, but the one thing that would really change the face of battle would be some kind of deployable mobile cover. Sunderers can get you into the battle through gunfire, sure, but if they're in the open they're useless for holding any kind of position.

I would just like to see a vehicle made for this purpose

...can you at least prevent normal shield drain for the same amount of time it takes to boot up? Meaning that if it takes 1 second to start working that the shield doesn't drain on its own for 1 second or until you start getting shot.

It would help prevent people from feeling punished for acting preemptively and would allow smart HAs to have full shields when they use them rather than being nickel and dimed for every corner they have to round.

I had no idea that this was possible, but apparently the distortion given to anything behind the cloak is given to the gun even while in front of the cloak.

I was going to post a screenshot but apparently my computer decided not to cooperate >:( and all I have is a black screen.

Basically though the cloak renders over top of the laser, and distorts it pretty clearly. Doesn't take too much to see it.

Bayonet attachments aren't beyond possibility. If there is a knife/melee update coming, why not include them? I could only find bits of info on knives themselves, which is great, but I thought we could also have bayonets for our main weapons, too.

Ideally faster to use for switching between shooting and knifing than the default knife (it takes an agonizingly long time to allow shooting again after knifing), so reduced damage could make it better for finishing than core damage.

Any thoughts?

All other talk aside, it's clear that some abilities work too well with certain class features. The other point I want to bring up is that when facing off against the different classes, there are certain expectations that can help us when facing off against them.

Having anyone get any ability besides the most generic would make each encounter more of a crapshoot than it has to be. I know infiltrators have stealth and mines. I know heavies have rocket launchers and extra shields. I know MAXes can't capture points, etc....

If implants are going to have us choose between general use buff or specialist implant, then at least keep the specializing of certain abilities to appropriate classes. Cl

So there's a new actual racetrack in the Hossin Continent.

I don't know about many of you, but I would absolutely love to start really pushing that to the limit by making the most out of it.

Not that I want to see a racetrack on all new continents, but this is just badass considering that we already have A to B races. Now we can have proper lapping, too.

Question is, do we want to push it farther than we already have? Or is this just going to be a really convenient road to loop around the continent?

Discuss.

Instead of a flat value given to everyone for taking up space, give players a time-delayed bounty of xp they earn while playing, up to the maximum amount, at the percent that empire won. You earn extra XP for doing stuff, but you get it at the end of the alert, and there's a maximum cap.

For example, if you earn 1000xp as a TR, you'd get a bounty of 1000xp put away for you. At the end of the alert, since the TR have 50% of the thing to take, you get the bounty of 500xp.

Idlers will get nothing no matter what, participants will be rewarded for everything.

People will still stack the winning empire, but no more free rides to people who didn't earn it by playing. I don't think that's going t

The problem

Right now I think the problem with some people is that we have too many certs (yes, yes, I know, we should all be so lucky), but the fact is some people do have them, and I think the devs are trying to introduce a system to help sink certs you otherwise won't ever spend for whatever reason.

The Current Solution?

Currently, I that system is slated to be the implant system where you spend either SC or certs to unlock temporary stat boosts. Arguments for temp stat boosts in exchange for certs aside, I think we can think up something that might make us happier as a whole that doesn't in any way make us feel like we have to earn over 100-200 certs a day just to be competiti

Right now it seems like the biggest thing against aircraft isn't necessarily lock-ons, it's flak.

The thing about flak currently, is that it either doesn't do enough damage to scare off aircraft, and only draws their attention to you personally, or it does so much that it reduces your craft's HP down to nearly nothing assuming you book it out of there.

Right now the only thing you can do against this is run off way out of the battlefield and manually repair up, before coming back and trying to get one run in before blowing up.

What if there was one item that allowed you to counter some of the flak damage but without giving you blanket resistance to it? Like the regen tubes for infantry, b

So in June there will be implants created for players to use. There's a thread on the main forums, but for those who find the main forums kind of unpleasant to use, here is a big-ass thread for people to plug what they want for implants, and discussion. I haven't seen any threads specifically for listing desired implants, so I made one.

Have at it!

Don't think it's really that feasible at all, but I'm only one person, so I'm tossing this out there. At the very least it might spawn better ideas for something else, so there's value in that.

Also did you know that kills via drop-pod is a stat? I only recently found out, and thought it was weird that there was no way to specialize in it at all, even if it would be silly.

Anyways, if we can customize everything else, why not drop-pods? Space battles in the future might be a thing, so who knows how it would play out. Drop-podding in might be more common with owned space stations or something, so why not have some customization and functionality?

Faster drops, or slower drops with more con
