The gist: Framework, please allow us to purchase the extended warranty after the original laptop purchase, even if only within the return period. It's basically free money.

I have a preorder on the Laptop 13 Pro, batch 1. Recently I reached out to Framework support about whether or not adding the warranty post-purchase was possible, since I was on the fence. After not hearing back I decided to just add it since time was running out. $259 seems worth it given the current memory situation (and my config is 64GB), so I went to add it to my order.

After selecting the 3 year warranty and going to the review step, the price had changed significantly more than the $259 indicated. It went from $27

Recently I got an email telling me to "Replace your internet equipment to get faster speeds". The account is currently (and has been) on Gigabit Extra with an MB8611 and the website doesn't show anything faster available, so I want to double check that this address was actually upgraded to Next Gen before shelling out for a new modem.

Feature request

Any word yet on a timeline for a Proton Drive Windows arm64 build? Or alternatively when Proton might release the source for the Windows desktop application so I can compile it myself?

Anyone successfully using the UDM Pro with SFP+ on the LAN side? I'm trying to hook it up to my USW-48-750W, and I've tried optics and two different DACs that all work with both the USW-48-750W and US-16-XG, but can't get any of them to work even after restarting both the USW and UDMP.

UPDATE: It works fine I just had a case of the dumb.

Greetings

After many grueling hours, I finally finished inventory and photos for all my decom'd lab gear.

There's a lot of stuff here, and I'd like to avoid shipping for now, so all sales are contingent on you (the buyer) coming to pick this stuff up at or near my residence in the Anoka/Coon Rapids/Blaine area.

Everything is OBO, but please keep it reasonable. I am trying to get this stuff out of my basement, but I am not trying to get fleeced.

The inventory for each system should be fairly complete and accurate since I tore down every one of these things and peeped at their innards, but if you have any questions or want more detailed photos of a specific portion just let me know.

So I've got a bunch of gear I no longer need/has been sitting in my basement for a while. I've got one eBay listing for one server going just to see how local-pickup-only goes through that avenue, but so far it's been pretty much nil even though I think my pricing is good/fair. Figured I'd throw the whole lot on here to get some feedback on where you guys think local pricing should be and what, if anything, I should part out or not. Thanks in advance!

Anyone know off hand if the R510 12-bay supports SES2? Primarily I'm looking for the ability to set the drive indicator light when using an HBA (9211-8i or 9207-8i in this case), and I'd rather not have to step up to the R720xd in order to get it since I need several of whichever unit I go with. My Google-fu has thus far been a fruitless endeavor, so I figured I'd ask here where someone else may have tried this already.

I'm having an issue with a particular show (it's a cartoon). I have each episode in a separate file, but when Sonarr picks the files up it will take S01E01.mkv and rename it to S01-E01-03.mkv and ditch the two files named S01E02.mkv and S01E03.mkv. All three episodes in the list will then be referencing S01E01-03.mkv even though it only contains the one episode. Is there any way to correct this? I've searched high and low for a solution with absolutely no resolve.

As the title implies, I'd like to hear what you all use for inventory. This includes everything from hardware to software, all the way from chassis service tags down to individual component and software serial numbers.

We've been using Spiceworks at work, and I'm looking to set something up for usage at home. Bonus points for any options that support AD/LDAP auth.
