Patch 8.16.

Every single champion that counters vel'koz is gutted (all electrocute users + main counter fizz nerfed like 4-5 times) oh and every champion that vel'koz deals with extremely well (tanks) is buffed (oh no...).

Oh and on the down low we gave you the lil ap ratio increase a patch back it's like riot is speaking directly to me, go right now while the patches have aligned and reach > diamond level summoner.

On the downlow not one of the runes i use has been touched in the rune destruction patch.

Arcane comet? Manaflow band? Transcendence? Gathering storm? Biscuit delivery? Cosmic insight? All = untouched.

Go forth vel'koz players, time to rise in elo for essentially free

So i mained vel'koz for years and today i'm going to talk to you about why that is unlikely to ever change, this is what playing vel'koz for thousands of games does to you.

So i'm in champ select, i'm first pick mid i can play quite a few mid champs to a decent level buttt vel'koz can pretty much handle any lane and landing Q is so rewarding it's actually insane, that feeling of bending q around a creep wave at the most absurd angle and then pulling off those crazy beam splits mutiple times until you can actually see the tilted player across from you. Or when you are bullying them under tower and then just laser them for the hell of it saliva frothing from your mouth.

How you just oblitera

So i'm a vel'koz main and the reason i main vel'koz is because there are very few champs in the game that prevent you from having a strong laning phase and you never need to switch your runes around, you scale amazingly so in any game provided the timer keeps ticking you are guaranteed to do a lot of damage and can delete people regardless. In games with tonnes of counter champs you can poke safely from a distance. He can be drafted into multiple roles and so in my opinion he's a very underrated flex pick.

These are thoughts i have about twisted fate - You could take grasp into bad matchups or you could simply not pick twisted fate ever unless it's a matchup where grasp isn't required e.g t

Been trying it a while and nah i'm not trying to stir the pot but Q just seems worthless in comparison.

You can max q and have an unwieldy skillshot that does more damage or you can max W and have many of your options buffed simultaneously, better waveclear with red, higher stun duration yellow and higher damage blue.

Let's hear the gospel.

When i started using vel'koz (years ago) i would max W and ignore my opponent and shove the wave but these days players wont allow you to just shove them since you need to be close to the minions to get W to hit every minion thus Q max is by far superior to W, you don't need to max W and just rely on the passive to shove waves whilst having your q free to either poke/harass/set up combo's/box your opponent out of your face or complete a passive proc. Maxing W first offers you less threat on your opponent unless you awkwardly hit 3 or so minions in a wave whilst also trying to poke them with W's deceptively fat hitbox. The opponent can just stand either out of range of W or stand to the side

Since i find all the rune choices underwhelming on tf but with predator you have great roams even pre 6 and in teamfights can just charge the adc with yellow card because the speed is like +25%-33% ish and most champs can't outrun it.

Lemmy give you an example as to where this rune is useful so there's a low hp jinx literally one auto will kill her but she's good so you can't snipe her with Q, she outranges you with rockets and if kited correctly she can actually 100-0 you without any return damage. Pop predator gg motherfuka like LOL. I love this rune i swear i recommend trying it at least.

Genuinely curious, i've been playing tf a lot lately as i've been learning all the roaming mid champs (taliyah, tf next aurelion etc.

Pros of using taliyah over tf :- More early mobility, does not care about dematerialiser as her waveclear does not suck (lol). Similar ultimate which is less precise but imo they are comparable in terms of overall use, less counterplay to her cc since tf's is not only short range but able to be sashed / cleansed / mikaeled. If you get behind she can farm the jungle very effectively, tf can't. She can delete squishies, tf can't. etc.

Do you use Normalcast On taliyah for her W? This is what happens to me > So you press W usually at max range and then E the problem is if you are even a pixel too far to cast W you will throw E and you wont cast W which results in 100% damage loss.

Do you ever build Mobi boots?

How do you use your ultimate if your team is behind? Or late game when laning phase is over?

What do you do if there are no lanes to gank the entire game?

Do you throw E before W or W first?

In lane do you ever use W on your opponent (assuming your opponent is good)?

Do you ever build defensive items?

Do you use Dematerialiser? If so which minions do you use it on and why?

When do you build void sta
