Coins first keeps everything in place, but it seems that retail and service workers everywhere prefer to lay out the cash first and spill out the coins on top of it so that they slide off or make it an awkward grab.

Are retail workers trained to do it this way, are they trolling, or just inconsiderate?

I'm being dressed in a tuxedo with a long tie against my will, but have been asked to influence the vest/waistcoat/cummerbund decision.

Personally, I find a high vest with a tuxedo to be an atrocity, so that's not happening if they're actually going to act on my opinion. I can't find enough pictures of tuxes with long ties to find a good comparison between the 'bund and waistcoat (or very very low cut vest).

Thoughts?

Does anyone know of a decent gun search engine where I can put in actual gun features and find various models that meet my wants?

Most of the online shopping places only offer a search like, "Manufacturer" "Caliber". I want to search terms like DAO, types of safeties, capacity, possibly weight/dimensions, etc.

I seem to recall someone on here a few weeks ago advertising a wiki they were building, but I can't find it to see if it has been upgraded to functional yet.

Thanks to Casino Royale, no waist treatment has become an acceptable style element in black tie apparel. I'm personally not for it. However, a true waistcoat feels overly formal for most of today's black tie events where half the attendees are certain to add "optional" behind the black tie, regardless of the host's intent and come dressed as a mortician or worse.

But going a different direction, the cumberbund still brings to mind images of the 80's and their matching pink cumberbund and bowtie ensembles.

So I was thinking what could look pretty current and sharp, while still respecting the rules of black tie, is a flat front cumberbund (i.e. no pleats). I imagine it as just a bit narrow

I received as a gift a Browning Stainless Stalker chambered in .270 Win to get out after nature's biggest varmint, the whitetail deer. The gun included Browning's "BOSS" attachment. I've read Browning's literature on it, and, frankly, it seems a bit hokey. Seeing as I've never seen any other product from another manufacturer out there (patents be damned) purporting to do the same thing, what are gunnit's thoughts on thing?

Once, several years ago when I was but fresh out of school, I was with my boss walking through an airport. We were on our way to meet someone important enough that we were picking him up from the terminal rather than waiting for him at the office. I was dressed appropriately for the occasion in nice slacks, a tie and jacket, etc. I had a pretty decent pair of shoes, but they were (what I would have called at the time) well worn. In hindsight, there were flat out unkempt but no one had ever said anything to me about them and I didn't know any better.

As we headed towards the terminal, my boss turns to me and says, "We've got a little time. I'll treat us to a shoe shine -- the guys here are t
