Ep 27: Duan Xu thinks he's hallucinating He Simu on the roof. His sister talks to Fang Xianye again and again, thinks he's copying her brother, but she's actually remembering him back when he was pretending to be Duan Xu. Meng Wan and Xia Qingsheng are doing his unrequited love thing.
Hejia Fengyi sends He Simu out and says he'll come soon. She makes a crow candy figurine. Duan Xu is being harassed by the most annoying man ever and he's holding back ADMIRABLY from murdering him. Just look at this self control! He's actually meeting with his marriage prospect, Wang Suyi , this is her annoying brother.

It starts raining, Duan Xu thinks he sees He Simu out in the rain and just jumps out the window and catches her. He also refuses to believe it's not her this time. It is beautiful and I am so happy.

And then we get my favourite part from the novel!!!! (You've said that before? Yes, I have many favourite parts). Duan Xu takes a walk in the rain and figures himself out, I'm just coping this part from the novel because it was basically verbatim and it's so lovely:
Rainwater rolled down between Duan Xu’s fingers as he covered his eyes, mixing with the moisture that seeped through his fingers, dripping onto the stone-paved ground. It was truly ironic. His original wish was to be a normal person, to escape the shadow known only to heaven, to conceal his brilliance and control his tearing emotions, learning to live like an ordinary person.
Or more precisely, to pretend to live like an ordinary person. He had tried very hard to do this, but now everything ran counter to this initial wish. The Ghost King He Si Mu had become his new wish—the most shocking and unconventional wish.
