####American Whiskey News:
- Four Roses has announced details on their 2017 Limited Edition Small Batch
- A Kentucky Owl Rye is coming if you enjoy spending hundreds of dollars on NDP whiskey. This one at least has an age statement so there's that.
- Jim Beam will be releasing a new cask strength whiskey named Little Book. More thoughts from Chuck Cowdery here.
- Wild Turkey has a new Master's Keep "1894" but it won't be available in the states
- This year's Parker's Heritage Collection will be an 11 year old cask strength single barrel bourbon.
- Jefferson's cleared a label for a new Presidential Select 16 Year Old Twin Oak. What goofy shit this has to do with boats has yet to be revealed but stay tuned.
- More discussion on the new WhistlePig Boss Hog 'The Black Prince'. 14 year MGP rye finished in Armagnac barrels, $500 MSRP. It won some gold medal though so it must be worth it, right?
####Discussion Highlights:
- The AMA results from Preston and Old Rip Van Winkle are up.
- K&L's Dave Driscoll touts a 3 year old American malt that sells for $140. r/bourbon reacts accordingly.
- A nice history of how the versions of Blanton's came to be along with tasting notes.

####Final Thoughts:
Wow at all those first time reviews - 21 new reviewers in the last month or so. That seems about par for the course with the continual growth of interest in whiskey. Other than that, things seem pretty usual around here for this time of year. I'm personally looking forward to the upcoming community reviews as I think we picked some interesting whiskeys this time around so I hope participation will be high.
As usual, anything noteworthy that I missed that should have made it in the roundup? If so, post it here.
Cheers y'all.
