The Mo Long counter Advent Calendar - Day 15
The team: Susano Kona Lushen
Usable against: Mo Long + any monster that dies to Lushen + any non-nem monster
How it works: Most of the standard Mo Long comps are not lushenable since the most popular Mo Long teammates like Perna, Harmonia, Triana, Ritesh, and Elad all potentially can have too much HP. But even if just 1 monster dies to the Lushen, your Susano should be able to outspeed Mo Long and finish him off (as long as the other remaining monster is not a nem healer), and then you can 3v1 anything left.
Another popular Lushen variant is Khmun Kona/Teon/Dova Lushen. This is good too (especially against other GWDs in general), but I don't like it as much against Mo Long since Khmun can glance and fail to finish off a weakened Mo Long.
Strategy: Just Lushen It™
Runing considerations:
I know that rune requirements for a fat Lushen team are pretty high, but a fat Lushen team should be one of the highest priorities for any high level PvP player given it's importance in both Arena and GW, so there shouldn't be any excuse in not having a strong one.
Susano - speedy DD build. Any rune set works. Fight or Vampire are popular, Swift if you just need to get it fast enough (to outspeed most Mo Longs).
Kona - while it's ok to ignore HP/Def and just go for speed for this team (i.e. this is a good place for your slot 4/6 flat stat but high spd sub runes), I use my Kona in a variety of other situations including those where having him be a tank is helpful too, so I have mine runed much better than needed for this team.
Lushen - this guy should have your account's best slow nuker runes.
Seriousness factor: 9/10. Occasionally you will run into a Lushen trap that is runed with a lot more HP than normal, or a monster on a super fast swift set that outspeeds your Kona + spd lead and messes you up.
