I have been no contact with my Nmom since April. There was a lot of stuff leading up to no contact but one of the reasons why was because my Nmom was starting to bully my Neurodivergent son who turns 12 tomorrow. He has a set of foods that he will not eat, and she's gone out of her way on family dinners to make food she knows he won't eat so she can bully him to 'eat it or starve.' I have often times have to interject on behalf of my child and my mom doesn't like that. So that's the context.

Now, my Edad is not no contact and he has a great 1v1 relationship with my son, my dad takes him fishing every other weekend. The last time he mentioned my sons birthday and asked if he could take my so

Matt's hypocrisy S3E7

SpoilerEPISODE SPOILERS

He freaked out on Colleen for poliety telling Cole he's attractive because she didn't know how to reply and she was just being nice.

Matt lost his shit on her and vilified her for being a "player" and having no loyalty to him, and here he is in this episode telling Zanab she's an incredibly beautiful woman and she deserves better than Cole. He's clearly firting with her, and also possibly trying to break up her enagement to get back at Cole for him flirting with Colleen.

And we have been bonding the three of us, Me (35F) and my two boys (9 and 7) by playing Pokemon Sword together and helping each other play. When I became I mom I was looking forward to the day I could bond with my kids through gaming and it feels great. I just got to the Fairy Gym and my Axew evolved, waiting on my oldest now to beat the fighting gym and catch up. He's gonna help me beat the fairy gym because he knows what's good against what, I think I have to level up a poison pokemon or so he says. Tonight we are gonna help my youngest beat the water gym. Anyway that's my fluff post.

I don't have trouble finding interested guys, but I freeze up when it comes to actually setting a date. I have no idea why I do this, I could be really into the guy but when it comes time to meet up I just get a feeling like there's a rock in the pit of my stomach stealing away all the hope and elation of being asked out. Then I ghost, I'm pretty sure it's just the run of the mill fear of rejection but it's holding me back from actually going on dates with guys I'm interested in. Anyone have any advice or encouragement?

How did you convince yourself to 'take that leap'?

You open up to someone and you an feel the energy shift, the door closing on you. Who you really are shatters the illusion of who they think you are and nothing can ever be the same. How do you all emotionally cope with that?
