Novel fan translation: Love Beyond the Grave
Main characters: He Simu, alias He Xiaoxiao, Sovereign of Spirits

Ep 28: He Simu has to listen to Yan Ke and his BS but she looks so pretty doing it
Duan Xu bursts in an challenged Yan Ke to a no-magic fight, then smirks at He Simu when he notices her, because he has no sense of self-preservation (affectionate)
Duan Xu's dad punishes him for going to brothels. I guess he can't really explain that he was fighting ghosts and hanging out with his best assassin friend. Consort Yu is harassing Wang Suyi. She's creepy.
Song Xingyu seems to be in cahoots with Yan Ke and up to dirty deeds unspecified. Duan Xu proposes to Wang Suyi (I suspect this is plots) and He Simu refuses to interfere. She
Outside the city, Duan Xu saves Fang Xianye from being assassinated by his own father
this is something to smirk about
Turns out they have been secret buddies the entire time! Duan Xu's dad wanted to kill his fake replacement son, Duan Xu saved Fang Xianye and helped him become an official. And then Duan Xu is like, "Hey, meet my girlfriend. She's a ghost." Which is so random and so him. He invites He Simu to his wedding and you can so tell she is not excited about it. Then Duan Xu tells Fang Xianye that he'll have to lend him a kid in the future (because you know, ghosts can't have mortal children...)
Poor girl (she deserves it tho)
The guy at the perfume store is sad and almost makes He Simu's sachet improperly, but Duan Jingyuan is there to save the day. Also the fact that He Simu calls the scent "Duan Shunxi?" beautiful. But we also learn when she gets home that Duan Xu's sense of smell has started to go away.
Then Duan Xu goes to visit Hejia Fengyi who tells him that He Simu has been essentially frozen since her parents died and he hopes Duan Xu can make time flow for her again. And look at Duan Xu's sad little puppy face!
He asks for something from Hejia Fengyi.
Tomorrow we are back to two episodes! And then fast track should be in the 15th. My posting will be kind of sketchy next week because I'll be very busy at work.
Novel bits: this should happen tomorrow!!!
!Seeing her catching up, Duan Xu smiled with his eyes narrowed. His round and bright eyes remained an unchanging pitch-black, with a faint layer of blood colour beneath his skin, and his lips lifted slightly in a light red hue.!<
!Suddenly, He Simu felt she couldn’t quite bear to see him smile.!<
!With colours, Duan Xu was too beautiful.!<
