Novel fan translation: Love Beyond the Grave
Main characters: He Simu, alias He Xiaoxiao, Sovereign of Spirits
Duan Xu, courtesy name Shunxi, cult name Seventeen
Ep 34: North Chong is fighting dirty with ghost help? Maybe.
He Simu and I are very very tired of Yan Ke and his BS. (sorry, I'm going to be salty this episode)
This storyline is way too repetitive and creepy (and out of character) and I don't wanna. Anyway, Yan Ke is awful to He Simu and then he goes and plays king and the other ghosts go along with it because they can't find Jiang An. Then Yan Ke kills a bunch of living things by taking them into the void, but he manages to give a bunny to He Simu. She maybe has some sort of plan involving this object:
she took that from the little ghost
Hejia Fengyi tells Duan Xu that the North Chong soldiers have been given a poison that makes them unable to feel pain, which is why they are fighting so hard. We saw Luda handing that stuff out last episode but I forgot to mention it. Duan Xu wants to know where He Simu is, but Hejia Fengyi just tells him to stay alive until she returns.
FIVE YEAR TIME SKIP! Baby is grown now (well ish):
Jiang An and Ban Sanxing confront Yan Ke, and reveal that he killed He Simu's father. They give him the token he's looking for and run away. Yan Ke is like, "What is a little murdering your father anyway?"
He Simu breaks out of prison and gets her stuff back and fights Yan Ke
I do very much like this outfit
YAN KE ESCAPES!??!? Please no. Can we all just stab him with magic swords like a ghost Ides of March? Uhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh
Okay, so Yan Ke goes to hide out with Luda, telling him that Duan Xu only wins because He Simu is helping him (lies and slanders). He Simu takes over the void again and then goes to see Duan Xu.
I'm not even happy I'm just annoyed
And now I will pretend this episode never happened because the promos look like they are back on track. Probably going to be posting late again tomorrow.
Novel difference (why I'm annoyed): >!He Simu knew Yan Ke killed her father the whole time. She let him be second in command for 300 years as punishment because it was the best way to torture him as he's obsessed with power. She never trusted him and was never captured by him. Her special mortal is only going to be alive for so long! She'd never let herself be captured for five years.!<
