DISCLAIMER
A lot of you probably know about the weekly hero discussion, but that often ends up in a meta discussion (whether or not the hero needs buffs, etc) or a meme war than actual tips to play, itemize and build the hero.
This is what I'd like to do. Please discuss any notes I made and possible improvements while also giving tips of your own if you have them.
The roles, skill builds and item builds, as well as a lot of the notes are my opinion on matters and should not be seen as a must do or don't. Also remember that almost every single build or role is situationally possible.
A lot of the tips on heroes were also mentioned in tsunami's amazing hero tips series he did over the last couple of years.
Leshrac
Notes:
- When someone chases you, cast split earth at your feet so you don't have to turn
- Try to bait out a glyph before you edict on a tower by animation cancelling
- You can take down towers without the creeps attacking it. Just stand close to the tower without right clicking and with your creep wave still standing closer.
- Eul's is an amazing item on leshrac for obvious reasons with split earth, but also edict and pulse nova still work when you cyclone yourself.
- Friends: SK, VS, Sven, WK, Alch, SD, OD, Nyx, Lion (set up chain stun)
- Good versus: Visage, IO, Chen, Naga, Meepo, Tide, SD (Big AOE damage, even when disabled)
- Counters: Sniper, Drow (can't deal much damage from a distance, is squishy), LS (rage), Luna (can burst down lesh easily, gets BKB), Pugna (nether ward), Medusa (so tanky she has little trouble living through the burst), Silencer (silence)
- Versus: Try to dodge split earth, it's not that hard with the obvious cast animation
- Versus: Stand near your creeps when you think a support with edict lesh will gank you
- Versus: Deward your own cliff if he hits lightning on you uphill.
Role: Support, Hard carry/mid
Item build:
- Support: Wand, arcanes, eul's, (Urn, Force staff, Ghost scepter, Aether lens, Glimmer, Rod of Atos, Veil, Sheep stick, Bloodstone, Octarine)
- Core: Bottle, (null tali, ) arcanes, (Veil, Blink, force, eul's, RoA, BKB) Bloodstone, Octarine, Sheep
Skill build:
- Support: split earth <-> edict --> lightning
- Mid build: lvl 1 split earth, max edict --> split earth --> lightning
