Semi-daily hero tips. Day 107: Weaver

DISCLAIMER

A lot of you probably know about the weekly hero discussion, but that often ends up in a meta discussion (whether or not the hero needs buffs, etc) or a meme war than actual tips to play, itemize and build the hero.

This is what I'd like to do. Please discuss any notes I made and possible improvements while also giving tips of your own if you have them.

The roles, skill builds and item builds, as well as a lot of the notes are my opinion on matters and should not be seen as a must do or don't. Also remember that almost every single build or role is situationally possible.

A lot of the tips on heroes were also mentioned in tsunami's amazing hero tips series he did over the last couple of years.

Weaver

Notes:

• Build BKB or Linken's depending on the situation (mostly you'll want linken's for the stats)
• Radiance is a great item on weaver, however, as always hard to aquire in time in pub games:
• Attack modifiers also apply to your geminate attack.
• You can timelapse back into a fight with buyback
• Weavers swarm can block Clockwerks hookshot.
• Friends: AA (geminate + chilling touch), VS (damage aura, double armor redux)
• Shukuchi damages invisible units as of 6.82
• Timelapse removes dust!
• Constantly shukuchi during teamfights and reposition. Teams will lose track of you and will focus other heroes while you deal tons of damage.
• Swarm bugs draw tower aggro, so use them before you dive.
• Time lapse BEFORE you use shukuchi
• If the enemy has silences, consider a manta style early on
• Versus: Dust AFTER shukuchi. This way he either has to time lapse without shukuchi or he just eats the dust.
• Counters: Brood (Easy linken's breaker, builds orchid), Drow (silence), Void (lucky bashes, chrono), Techies (Very long stun, high nuke potential), Bloodseeker (thirst, rupture, silence), BH (easy linken's break, true sight)
• Good versus: AA, Pudge, Undying, LS, Warlock, Omni, Ursa, SD, Bat, Jakiro, Razor, Lich, Brew, Sven, Visage, Pugna, Jugger (Have trouble with illusive heroes that build linken's)
• Weaver might be the only hero in the game on which boots are situational, especially since the added shukuchi ms talent

Role: hard carry, solo lane, aggressive tri lane (, support)

Item build:

• Standard: 2 of Wand/Infused raindrops/RoB, Blight stone, (Midas, RoA, Treads, Dragon Lance, Maelstrom) Linken's <-> Diffusal <-> Deso, (BFly, BKB, MKB, Diffusal, Bloodthorn, Mjollnir)
• Early fight: Wand/Infused raindrops, RoA, Medallion, Treads, (Orchid, Deso, BKB, Diffusal)
• Support: Medallion, Agh's

Skill build: Shukuchi --> Swarm --> Geminate. Value point in geminate early
